Africa Tax Spotlight: Focus on Gender and Taxation

Welcome to the 5th edition of TJN-A’s Africa Tax Spotlight, which is dedicated to issues about taxation and its relationship with men, women, gender equality and equity in Africa. There is no better time to release this edition than now following the world’s recent centennial celebration of the International Women’s day. I had the great privilege of spending it with the people of Kailahun in Sierra Leone. Personally, I spent the day reflecting on the numerous struggles and victories experienced and achieved over the years in the ongoing campaign for gender  quality.
